Chef Roshanak Yousefian is the founder of Popilee. She specializes in authentic Persian cuisine and pastries. Roshanak's love for the culinary arts started as a young girl in her aunt’s kitchen in Mazandaran, Iran. Popilee grew out of Roshanak’s passion for cooking while preserving and sharing the exquisite cuisine of Iran with others. For Roshanak, baking is an art form; each one of her pastries is made carefully and lovingly by hand, with the finest ingredients.

As a chef, Roshanak has served private and public events from the East Coast to the West Coast, and her pastries have been featured prominently at events across the United States, the Bahamas, and Europe. Since 2015, Roshanak has served among the chefs for the annual Noruz at the Met Gala. She is based in New York City.
